Independent research and project firm
from Kraków, operating since 2003.
We help public administration, NGOs and social enterprises diagnose needs, secure funding and effectively activate people at risk of exclusion.
A small office — full accountability
InterActive is a sole-proprietorship of Maciej Karmiński — sociologist, researcher and project practitioner. We operate on a person-to-person basis: when a client comes to InterActive, they deal with the person who will lead the project from start to finish.
For specific assignments we engage trusted experts: vocational counsellors, psychologists, trainers, field interviewers. The project team is built around the client’s actual needs — without unnecessary management layers.
We don’t compete on scale. We compete on quality of reporting, timeliness, and the fact that our clients keep coming back year after year.
Three complementary competencies
We research — quantitatively, qualitatively, in the field. Local diagnoses, project evaluations, labour market analyses. Track record with leading Polish research institutes, top universities and the Ministry of Funds.
We write and deliver EU projects — from needs assessment, through grant writing, project coordination, to final settlement. ESF+, FERS, regional programmes.
We activate — socially excluded people and those distant from the labour market. End-to-end support: job placement, counselling, vocational training, competency workshops.
More than two decades of experience
From the first research for district labour offices to the evaluation of ESF support for the Ministry of Funds.
Company founded in Kraków
Maciej Karmiński establishes InterActive as an independent research office.
Research for 35+ district labour offices
Extensive cooperation with district labour offices (PUP) across Poland — from Bełchatów to Września. Studies of labour supply and demand, monitoring of in-demand and surplus professions.
First EU projects (ZPORR)
Five independent research projects under Measure 2.1 of ZPORR for regional labour offices: Kraków (×2), Zielona Góra, Opole, Wałbrzych.
ESF, PO KL projects and research for the Educational Research Institute (IBE)
Development of a long-term collaboration with the Educational Research Institute (EWD — Educational Added Value, foreign language acquisition, speaking skills, teacher development needs). “Innovative Business as a Chance for Success” project for WUP Kraków.
ESF evaluation for the Polish Ministry of Funds
Consortium with Evalu Sp. z o.o. Multi-stage evaluation of ESF support in education under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development (PO WER). Four interim reports, acceptance protocols without reservations.
Social and vocational activation
End-to-end delivery of ESF+ projects for the Social Services Centre in Tryńcza, the BAZA Social Cooperative, the Social Welfare Centre in Sucha Beskidzka, and social enterprises. Research for the University of Warsaw and IBE.
Four principles we apply on every project
Methodological rigour
We run research with due care — sample representativeness, pilot-tested instruments, documented processes. No shortcuts.
Full accountability
We take the project from diagnosis to settlement. We don’t push the burden back onto the client — reporting to the funding institution is on us.
On-time delivery
Acceptance protocols without reservations — that’s how we want to close every project. Staged delivery with buffers, regular progress reporting.
Empathy in practice
We work with socially excluded people. We remember our clients are humans with their own stories — not “participants in an indicator spreadsheet”.
